Abstract–This paper focuses on the Cross Media aspects of the indoor tracking system, SPOPOS. SPOPOS is designed to track people and items in Copenhagen Airports. Using Bluetooth and RFID-tagging as the main technologies, information is being remediated from the airport to the passangers through their mobile phones. The relations between the media platforms involved will be analyzed in terms of Cross Media theorists Anja Bechmann Petersen and Bo Hovgaard Thomasen. Also, new media theory on remediation by Bolter will be introduced as a way of analyzing SPOPOS. A quantitative survey will examine how the tracking system is addressing the elder airport passenger, and how this group look upon modern technology.
